First visit as a party of 8 under the new ownership so we were keen to see what it was like. I had double checked the booking prior to arrival and wasn't overly certain this had been confirmed, but we were shown to a table away from the busiest area. Food and drinks were all ordered and served accurately and reasonably quickly. This was followed up by staff to check that everything was in order. Overall it was an OK experience but perhaps a bit more disjointed than on previous visits due to the change in ownership & re-opening across a holiday weekend. Look forward to revisiting again when things are more settled in and running efficiently. Wishing managers and staff all the best in achieving this going forwards.

It was fairly quiet when we visited as it was a Monday evening, but the food was wonderful. I had the seafood linguine, and I have to say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was excellent, attentive but not pressured, we will definitely be returning

I did send a message via the website to explain that we came on Sunday 12th x 8 people. But not had a response. The roast beef was delicious. But we waited nearly an hour from our order being placed, which was uncomfortable. The staff were professional. However we were very disappointed that the portions were small with only a few vegetables, not what we have previously experienced. Due to the length of wait to receive our meals, we didn’t stay for deserts. We spent £168 and had hoped a better experience on such a special day. We would welcome a positive response. C Brickell
Went for a roast over the Easter break. Found out it has recently been taken over only days prior, by owners of another successful pub (which we also like) and introduced the new menu that weekend. The attentiveness of staff and quality of food was awesome and we were all very happy. We hope the new owners freshen the place up a bit without it loosing its charm, and keep the positive staff and clearly successful Sunday roast menu. Will certainly be heading back soon.
