Food lovely. Serving staff very polite, they did warn us that there would be delays due to party of 16 at another table. Whilst we appreciated the heads up, it still took an hour and a half for our mains to arrive. Lovely rhubarb crumble. Main grumble would be the wait, don't book more tables than you can cope with! Esp on a Sunday..... But we would come back as the food is of a good standard

We arrived early and you were able to seat us which was fabulous. My only criticism is that the roast potatoes that were served to us were inedible. I could not cut them with my knife as they were so hard.

The pub ambiance is good, food great, staff very friendly - fantastic evening out
We had the asparagus, ham and goats cheese starter. Quite large portions, delicious but a bit salty. The paella was more like risotto but lots of seafood and chorizo again large portion and too salty. My friend had the pasta which was also large and on the salty side. But he would have asked for a doggy bag but we were driving home to birmingham the next day. I ate all my seafood and chorizo and quite a lot of rice. Such a shame we come to Ringmer every Summer and always have a lunch at the Anchor but will give it a miss next year as the food was too salty.
