Such a cosy approach and welcome reception at the Anchor. Proper local pub with great atmosphere and delicious food :)

Returned to the Anchor for food on Saturday night & was a bit disappointed. At £17 the rather ordinary mezze board was overpriced. My burger was OK, nothing more & isn't as good a choice as it once was. Not much of a selection on the specials board or main menu that wasn't vegetarian. How about something interesting for us meat eaters! It's our local, but it's not as good as it was a year or two ago, and there are plenty of other venues in the area, so maybe time for a reboot.
