I'm local to the Anchor and always look forward to eating there. I've tried many (many) Sussex country pubs. The Anchor equals the best of them.

Very nice food and wonderful service. The beef stew came with carrots and had carrots in it, but was nice nonetheless. Perhaps an alternative veg would have been good. The lobster ravioli was stunning!!! So good. Top job peeps

Where is a proper pub crumble? Not made with oats etc as before but a proper buttery crumble
