The roast was delicious and the extra gravy very welcome. However, we did think the portion of Macaroni cheese was quite modest for the price and the custard portion with the puddings were rather small.

We stayed close to the pub and ate there every day of our stay. Super friendly reception, great menus and excellent food. Very dog friendly too. Can’t recommend enough. Sunday lamb roast was gluten free and one of the best I have tasted, as was my partner’s great vegetarian roast.

Just really sad that I was called away so quickly, because I was loving my time in the Anchor. Next time I am not coming alone. Can’t wait x
Such a lovely relaxed Sunday dinner at the Anchor yesterday, food was amazing and the service is brilliant! Only recently discovered this lovely pub restaurant ❤️
