Excellent attentive service. Very good, reasonably priced food

We wasn't made aware until we arrived that we couldn't order until 6pm when our table was booked for 5.30pm. The starters were lovely, however it went down hill from there, the noise was unbearable, bottles being thrown in the bar bin causing loud bangs throughout our meal... the mains were overcooked and over garnished and the menu choices limited. We was given a couple of desserts free in way of compensation however one of the desserts was not available and the ones we did get weren't that great. This was a birthday meal for our elderly parents. The Anchor was recommended by a friend who had eaten there during the week, we didn't get the same experience they did. Unfortunately we will not be returning anytime soon.

Excellent meal and service was very good despite the fact that the pub was very busy.

Love this place. The staff are amazing, food is delicious and ambience is always warm and welcoming
