A good roast lunch was the best way to ensure warmth before we took part in a concert of old Sussex carols, dance tunes, readings & a Mummers Play in Ringmer Church in the afternoon, where it was so cold you could see your breath.

7 friends from Brighton joined me for a Christmas meal. We were delighted with the quality of food and service at the Anchor. Excellent as usual Thank you x

Excellent all round. We had a Xmas booking x35 people and arrived to no heating. We were prioritised and then whisked into the main pub and set up next to the fireplace and made to feel very welcome. Excellent Food , staff and caring saved the day , fabulous time !

I have fallen in love with this place. The fantastic service by the waitresses, the speed of the food being served, good quality, good value and loved the roaring fires. A fabulous traditional pub.
