We have been before and had a yummy sunday roast beef, Sadly yesterday was pretty awful. The beef was very tough and had a very unpleasant taste. Couldnt eat it. The vegetables were also undercooked, The chocolate pudding was rather dry and couldnt finish it. Didnt, want to make a fuss but was rather hoping the waitress who took my full plate away would have noted and not charged. However the staff as usual were lovely. We will be back bit not immediately and certainly not for roast beef.

Every meal at The Anchor is a joy. The food from the menu is consistently good and the ‘specials’ are a delight!

I had lunch at The Anchor Inn with a couple of friends on 2nd April. We received a warm, friendly welcome and service was extremely good. Our feed was excellent. I've given everything full marks because I'm unable to fault our experience. Well done and thank you to you all. We shall be coming back here.

Very impressed with hot plates and hot food
