This was our second year having lunch at the Anchor on Christmas Day and we had a fantastic meal (the venison was scrumptious) and service impeccable. Our only feedback would be it would have been nice to have a glass of fizz as we arrived and maybe a coffee with the mints - not a criticism but maybe a thought for next year?

Absolutely delicious food tailored for a dozen of us. Our group included vegan, vegetarian and gluten free diets and the needs and preferences of those aged from 7 to 90. We were all highly satisfied with the food that appeared on our plates. Due to illness and covid test results, some of our party had to cancel at the last moment. The staff were incredibly helpful and 6 of the 3 course meals were boxed up as takeaways. What more can we say?. The Anchor cannot be praised enough. Thank you all!
