This pub goes above and beyond most establishments. The beer was wonderfully kept, the food delicious and the staff fantastic. The pub is a life saver for a local friend. Can’t rate the anchor highly enough on all fronts.

All good excellent apart from a ridiculous argument regarding blue cheese sauce. I was pushed to accept what was not a blue cheese sauce it was brown. The owner said he would sort at the end .he did nothing by way of compensation just an apology and a confession that he aggreed with us. The host was great but he must know when a customer spending alot of money the value of a pot of sause is not worth upsetting a future regular visitor. Should have done the decent thing and refunded a fiver.

Food excellent. Very good value.
