The Anchor inn always provide an excellent service, food is great quality and the staff always give you a big warm welcome. A lot of credit given to this village pub for keeping everyone fed and happy through a rocky year!

6 of us had a lovely evening. We were pleased to see that the pub tent and garden were full after lockdown restrictions had eased. You could see that a lot of effort had gone into making sure the pub and garden were Covid secure. The staff were great and the food very good. We have recommended it to others

Amazing set up, have done a brilliant job at changing all they have had to die to current situation and make it comfy, warm and enjoyable! Thank you, first time me and my husband have been out in a year and was FAB!

Enjoyable lunch with good food and drink, also good service. Only thing wrong was due to restrictions it was under the marquee due to the wind and temperature

It was an enjoyable evening, but I have two reservations. The first is that I waited a long time to be seated, and after 3-4 minutes of standing by the entrance to the tent I began to feel a bit like I'd turned up to the wrong event. Maybe I just caught a moment when all staff were on other tasks, but the failure of anyone to look towards the entrance to see if anyone was waiting was disconcerting. The second reservation is that it was very cold. Partly that's the weather, and I don't expect polluting heaters, but I did wonder whether the sides of the tent might have been put up so the biting wind might have been held a bit more at bay. Otherwise a very nice experience.

Our first meal out in over a year and not only was it warm and welcoming the food was out of this world. We received service with a smile and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended

Food very good... weather very cold though..maybe some heaters next time?
Food and service was excellent but for us the visit was spoilt by the loud music being played in the marque. Waiter turned it down when I asked but it was still much too loud and intrusive. Why have this music blaring on a weekday lunchtime when most of your patrons are elderly? There was rarely music like this when the pub was properly open, sometimes some live music on the podium. Shall check to see if the music playing continues but will not be back if it does. Kim Clark
