A fantastic pub with great food and lovely ambience

The food was delicious but our waitress didn’t engage with us at all. We weren’t asked was our food ok, would we like any more drinks, the dessert board was just smacked on the table. Why on earth is food served on a board? It’s so unhygienic.

We were a party of 4 placed on a table only big enough for a maximum of 3. Otherwise, it was great. The food and atmosphere were as lovely as always.

We all really enjoyed our meals, those who chose the gluten free fish and chips were very happy with the way it was cooked and presented. Our server was very helpful and patient with our group, we spent a lot of time talking and certainly weren’t in a hurry to leave!

Spontaneous table of 7, managed to squeeze us in. Everything was still tasty and fresh. All three of the meats we tried amongst our group were cooked well and all the staff were amazing. Christmas decorations made the atmosphere inviting, they were extremely busy but still took time to smile and chat to us when possible.
