Very disappointed with our meal last night. We ordered our main course and after a few minutes were told one of our choices was off (even though it was only 7pm) When we ordered dessert, again after a few minutes, we're told that the freezer was broken so no ice cream. We said 'ok, we'll have coffee' but no: the coffee machine was broken too. I felt sorry for the waitress having to keep coming back to tell us we couldn't have the food we ordered. Shame but we won't be going back

Good food served hot & fresh, top-notch Harveys Best Bitter, & a very jolly English dance tunes session afterwards.

I just wanted to give some feedback on behalf of my wife and I in regards to our Sunday lunch on 7th April. I am not one for complaining but I am so sorry to say it was probably the worst Sunday lunch we have had. We left most of it, I know my wife complained about the potatoes on her meal but wished I had at the time expressed my disappointment in the food that was served to us both as neither enjoyed the experience of eating there. Service as always is spot on with such a great team of staff and always so friendly and helpful, but the food was so so disappointing

I've never had to return a plate of food but had to return the pork roast as it was not good at all. Presentation was great but the Potatoes, veg & parsnips were very hard & the Yorkshire pudding soggy. Waited ages after being sat down for someone to take our drink order. Not a pleasant sunday treat I'm afraid.

We love the Anchor Inn. The service is very good and it's very friendly. The food is good value and tasty. Today we had the added bonus of a lovely Jazz band! We will be back. Jacalyn Boyes

The men's toilets were dirty, One urinal was blocked, there was no soap and thr dryer didn't work. It doesn't look good in an otherwise lovely pub.

Food,reception,service were excellent & made for a relaxed & convivial get-together.
Such a lovely team who went above and beyond to make the hubby’s birthday seamless! Thanks ladies :-) x x
