The Anchor is all I ask for and expect from a great village pub. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, good food in hearty portions, good selection of local beers, totally without pretension. Enjoyable night, as it always is.

A lot of the items on the menu were not available which was disappointing hence the low score on the food. The waitress that served us was lovely and very good

Given the table we asked for when we booked. Lovely efficient staff. Very good starters, mains and lemon posset. The salmon was the star. Perfectly cooked, tasty Hollandaise sauce on a bed of samphire, green beans, brocoli and hispi? cabbage. Brilliant. Thanks

We liked mushroom gnocchi, we wish it was a regular item. The halloumi burger was lush, but could do with more salad, also we would like to see it every day. Thank you

Amazing lunch with good friends. All the food was very tasty, especially the Seafood Linguine which was a Special. Will be revisiting again soon

Yorkshire’s tasted a bit sweet/strange. Veg could be more imaginative. Had worse roasts in a pub. Also had better and for less money. .
