The food was very good, portions on the small side. Felt the tables could be cleaner and a little dusty.

We stayed with our 3 grandkids, room was clean, comfy and had plenty of room and everything you needed with plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. The pub itself is stunning so olde world, full of charm with well cared for gardens and outdoor areas. The quality of homemade, tasty food for both dinner and breakfast is something I haven’t experienced for a long time - it truly was superb. We will definitely go back - thank you. Good service. The food seemed okay until I ate something that tasted like mould. I did not say as we were having a good evening. Unfortunately, I became sick with severe vomiting and diarrhea shortly following my meal. This was very distressing and therefore I do not recommend this establishment.

Whilst covid is still with us I feel cutlery should not be put on table. Nor should unwanted items be removed unless they are washed again. Other establishments only bring cutlery required, wrapped in a serviette once an order is placed.

Service a bit slow, we waited ages for starter and then we got half way through and our main course was bought out, so they took it back and when it came out again my husbands steak was quite dry, also we had to put up with yapping dogs as we didn’t realise we were in a dog area, not what we expected for a quiet evening out!
