I know you were busy, but we waited over an hour for our main course . Had the roast, the lamb was not good, gristly and chewy, I took mine home for our dog. The staff were lovely, and I would come again, but eat off the main menu

Lovely food and service. Did speak to duty manager on the day 14/11/21 about a group with a boxer dog of which the party in question couldn't control and are regulars at the pub. I have been visiting the Black Horse for over 15 years and have never experienced such an unruly dog of which no correction was given by the owners in fact they thought it was funny there untrained dog was spoiler for everyone else upstairs! In fact I could see some people quite frightened by the experience!I do have a very well behave German Shepherd of which to her credit and may i add well trained didn't get involved as I distracted her away from the situation. I do appreciate this party might contribute financially on a regular basis to your profits but feedback from some regulars in your pub tells me this is not a one off. I am assuming hopefully that the feedback I gave your duty manager you will be addressing this issue with this party? I always walk into a pub and ask are you dog friendly? When the reply is yes I expect the dogs to be friendly dogs!I also expect dogs barking at each other from time to time but this dog imparticular wanted to fight! I truly hope you don't find this offensive as I often over the years used and stayed In your astablishment and have truly enjoyed the experience! I will however still use your pub as it is a lovely place to stay/visit after a nice walk. I truly hope you will address this issue as it truly for me spoilt what could of been a lovely day out. We chose the Black Horse for a family birthday celebration as we had dined there before and remembered it being good. We weren’t disappointed. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. We will return again soon.
