Marked service low, although the efficient waitress tried her best to apologise for lack of staff we still had to wait one hour, twenty mins for our main meal, despite not having a starter. Our desserts were finally served after 9.00pm, two hours after arriving ???? I have eaten here three times before and enjoyed the food and good service but I will think twice before booking and returning again.

Having been a regular customer of many years it was a disappointing meal. The food took over an hour to arrive and had to be chased, the service was shocking and lacked attentiveness. The table was sticky and felt dirty. The drinks from the pump system were flat and almost tasteless. I didn’t complain as it was a task to even get our food in a timely manner. Would certainly not recommend unless some improvements are made.

I dont like to give bad feedback and appreciate that you might be very short staffed at the moment or have new staff that need training up. Unfortunately the service we received was really poor. We were sat down and ordered drinks when we were seated which arrived relatively quickly (about 10 mins) we then waited another 25 mins or so and went and ended up going to the bar to ask if we could order. When a waitress arrived about 5 minutes later she took or order, we then had a long wait for the food to arrive, we then asked if we could have some sauces and two small ramekins were placed with us, we asked if we could have some more ketchup which never turned up. We then had to ask where our onion rings were, these had been forgotten and so were cooked fresh for us and came about another 5 minutes or so later. We then had to chase some more drinks we had ordered. We then chased the 2nd ramekin of ketchup which eventually arrived. When our plates were cleared we were asked if we would like to see the pudding menu to which we said yes please. The pudding menu never arrived. We were then asked after about another 20 minutes if we'd still like to see it to which we said no and asked for our bill. We then had a waitress try to come and give us a vanilla ice cream we hadn't ordered and we said no could we have the bill. It still didn't arrive. Then another waitress eventually noticed us and we asked for the bill again and we eventually got it. The food was ok, it was just a bit frustrating we had to wait for everything for so long and ask for everything multiple times. Sorry.

Such a beautiful gem of a pub, we will definitely be back. Amazing food and great service, friendly staff too.

Haven’t been for some time. However, enjoyed the meal very much. Food and service were both excellent and staff very attentive and polite.
