We had a fabulous Sunday roast and the service was very good.

We had a lovely time, staff are friendly and food is always good

We booked a sparkling afternoon tea and tour for two, a gift from our daughter. However we were disappointed that we were told to arrive at 12pm on an email but when we arrived, told we had missed the tour at 10am. We then proceeded to afternoon tea which consisted of a glass of sparkling wine, a small slate board for two with 4 x plain scones/jam and cream, 2 small slivers of Brownie, 2 x macaroons and 2 tiny squares of cheesecake? on a cocktail stick. There were no pastries/sandwiches etc even though I had been asked if I was a vegetarian beforehand! We then ordered a cheeseboard between us and paid for that along with tea/coffee! Very very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. I’ve never had an afternoon tea without sandwiches or Tea as part of the package! More disappointing in that when I booked I was told everybody had been upgraded to a deluxe and ours certainly hadn’t been. A complete waste of our daughters money and had it not been for the lovely staff we would have left. We have visited Bolney prior to Covid and had lunch whichwas lovely but we didn’t get an apology apart from Jamie who apologised as we came in and said we weren’t the first not to have been told about the wine tour and proceeded to speak to us about wines and give us an insight. So a lot of money for a glass of bubbly and small dessert board.

Food was delicious. Service was friendly and welcoming. Lovely ambience. Table had not been cleaned from night before but small point. First time visit and will be coming again
