Our Eighteen Acre Café has a stunning viewing balcony overlooking the ripening vines. It’s a great place for a spot of lunch or catching up with friends over a glass of award-winning wine. All our food is locally sourced and our chef serves up scrumptious dishes for brunch and lunch.  We've created a tasty menu you'll love; from warming winter dishes perfectly paired with our wines, to daily specials carefully created by our chefs with the freshest seasonal ingredients.

We are now taking table bookings from 19th May onwards. Unil then, we are operating a walk-in service only. Our cafe is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 9am – 4pm (food service stops at 3.30pm on Weds - Sat, and 3pm on Sun). On Monday and Tuesday we are open for take-away tea and coffee only.

Please note: All guests, including café and tour guests (with the exception of minors under the age of 11 and people with medical conditions that preclude them from wearing face coverings) are kindly asked to bring and wear face coverings when travelling through our shop area. We also ask that all visitors to Bolney follow government guidelines regarding COVID 19. As a result, only parties from the same household are permitted to book a single table in our café. Please note, all members of the party are required by law to register their own track and trace details. Find out more about this here.

Please note that you will have 2 hours for your table booking.

1.Distancing discipline was terrible. 2.Service was slow - we gave up on the coffee we ordered. 3. Food was acceptable. Chefs were good, trying to help waiting staff. Will email some comments

I have already submitted an account of our visit yesterday which I am afraid was not complimentary. Arrival at 1.15pm as advised. No directions of how to enter the building. No one to greet us or welcome us or to take contact info. Ahead of us two people had arrived and were extremely disgruntled as they like us had requested an outside terrace table. The were dealt with and offered a glass of wine on the house whilst they waited. We were ignored for around 15 minutes, with no interaction other than a young lady desperately trying to appease the other couple and doing her complete best, but it seemed that she was alone in dealing with EVERYTHING! She was doing her best! Our friends had travelled a long journey to visit us and we had booked for lunch a week in advance as a treat for them. We were all thirsty and were eager to be seated, and the young lady offered us a two seat table and asked us to sit and wait until a larger table became available. In all it took until 2pm for us to be seated properly. We ordered a vegan platter plus a classic Mezze. we should have had it explained to us that this platter would hardly feed 1 person let alone for two to share. Had we known this then we would have ordered something more substantial. The portions were mean and inadequate for the £12.20 or so price tag. If only a basket of bread (so cheap) had been offered as we all know how cheaply that can be provided. Dont be so mean Bolney Wine Estate! It seems to me that if a customer when booking is offered a box to enter requests and they ask for an outside terrace table then they should be forewarned that this may not be possible. Also, if there are solid bookings made then surely tables should be set aside for those who have booked in advance with name cards so that the staff are aware of who to expect and when, so that customers are at the very least greeted properly. It seemed also that table hoggers on the terrace were outstaying their allocated table time, and clearly this system was not working on Friday. We came to Bolney after my daughter had attended for a picnic lunch on the 10th July and and recommended you to us. sadly our experience was not one to sing too many praises about. Would we return? Maybe if some changes were made. I await your response. Margaret Dawson (Disappointed) [email protected]

Cold coffees & mediocre bacon sandwiches. We will not be rushing back. Nice environment obviously, but lots of places to go.

Wine glasses had lipstick on rim (not ours!) Had to send them back. Food brought and this was lovely but requested salt and pepper and this was so slow coming that our food (which was being eaten outside on the terrace) was going cold by the time it came.

The warmest welcome and relaxed dining treat in stunning surroundings. And the sparkling is pretty wonderful too!
