Our first visit to Darjeeling. The food was excellent, service was efficient and friendly. Although the place was spotlessly clean, the atmosphere and decor makes it feel like a cheap cafe. Surely with a building of this character and history, more could be done.

There were 4 of us and 2 really enjoyed the meal. My Kashmir had no flavour, we all tried it and one said, it is like gravy, sorry but the first time I have had such bland curry. We complained and they took the price off, thank you. The other lady asked for hers to be a little spicier but not too much, it really burnt out mouths but we didn't complain as she asked them to make it spicier. It was a biriani so she took the meal home to have another sauce. Unfortunately the coffee machine wasn't working but they made 2 of us a coffee, when we asked if they had instant. The two male staff, were very friendly and helpful.

Service and food was great and very authentic but other than a mural on the wall, you could have mistaken the place for any cafe in the uk and ordered a fryup by mistake. I think this needs to become an authentic restaurant again. Looks like a place to go when drunk, not to take your wife on her birthday. Shame!

Fantastic food, location is makes you feel like your in a WW11 film set, service could be a bit better, the lads serving were nice guys but could be a bit more tentative to what's going on
Had a lovely late visit after the T20 cricket. Always welcoming, food was great. Been coming here for years. Love it.
