Food that was served was very tasty - however, shame that the small plates menu has been cut and is so limited. Many of the ‘main meals’ are also over priced and essentially still small dishes being served as large ones e.g £14.95 for 3 satay skewers? In any other restaurant that’s a starter/small plate charged at 8.95£ max. Old menu was much better.

There wasn’t much choice for evening meal. No meal came with chips / potato which was extra and very disappointing although we’re very tasty. We would have been left hungry if we had not been told to order as a side due to the small portion sizes of some of the meals. It was cold in the venue so had to move tables to try and warm up. The wine we chose had run out so was offered another bottle in replacement, this bottle didn’t arrive at the table but something different did this was poured into the glasses and we were not told it was something different again. When asked the staff we were told told that was all that was left. The food was very tasty.

10/10 all around, can’t fault it. This is our 3rd visit at the dark horse and we’ve had spectacular service each and every time. We now recommend it to all friends and family as we know it’s top quality. The food in particular is outstanding and so so tasty! We’ll definitely be visit again soon and are looking forward to a change of menu so we get to taste and try even more delicious plates

No one there to make cocktails-I struggle to understand how a dark and stormy (rum, ginger ale and lime which was on the menu as a special ) can’t be made by the other staff or the manageress??? Disappointing Then told there was no cod!!!it’s a Thursday night in the middle of summer holidays with a superb fishmongers 50 feet away!!!! This place had real promise when it started, shame that the manageress didn’t have the initiative to ensure that someone made cocktails and poor planning if you run out of cod in a seaside resort 7/10 stars

Very lovely evening with stunning food and top class service cant wait to call back
So disappointed with my visit this time. Dark Horse has been one of my favourite places to eat in Swansea for a while however my experience wasn’t as good as it usually is. I ordered the nachos which has previously been some of the best I’ve tried however the nachos and the pulled pork have changed. There was a small slither of pulled pork on our nachos so when I requested for some more the chef said no and we’d have to pay for more! I requested to speak to management who dealt with the problem. Also I’m not sure £7 for a caprese salad which consisted of not even one tomato and a small ball of mozzarella (no basil) was exactly value for money! The rest of the food was delicious and the waitering service was excellent.
