Very impressed with the food and service, although would have preferred to sit in a more private part of the restaurant considering it was valentines meal

It was okay but considering it was valentines weekend I would’ve thought they’d of put something special on the menu was very limited menu thought they might of had oysters or muscles which we were informed they’ve run out of muscles ! Our table was booked for 3pm We got a phone call at 2.30 to say could we go earlier as they had had a cancellation we said Yes as I thought it was going to be a busy day but when we arrived there there were only two other tables in so wasn’t a lot of atmosphere .. as there wasn’t a lot to choose from I had the fish and chips and my husband had the burger very ordinary for a valentines we were back home within the hour ! Not only that the only roast they had being a Sunday was chicken !!

Only 2 fish of day left for a 7.30pm booking on Saturday. Waited a v long time for main. Chips were really greasy and one of the tempura cod looked like it was more batter than fish. People clearing up floors and moving tables during our coffee. Overall not the best experience.

Lunch was lovely but my choice was a bit limited as I have an allergy to shellfish. My friend said the local oysters were the best she has ever tasted! Service was excellent, friendly and unobtrusive.

Disappointed that you only take tips as cash instead of being able to add them to the bill and paid with contactless. Few people carry cash anymore. Myself and my party were embarrassed we couldn’t reward the decent service even though it was so busy.. it actually felt unethical and I was planning on making a complaint. Happy to discuss further of you wish.

Everything excellent. My only slight criticism was that the muffin with my eggs Benedict was very hard, otherwise all good.
