Service very below par - there’s a fine line between intrusively over attentive and just right, but this bordered on can’t be bothered and am going to ignore you (ie over 20 minutes for a coffee - one of us had to leave before finishing). Cake was dreadful - and, although mentioned and not eaten, was charged full price. When asked, no one knew the rules on the car parking if a ticket had been purchased and displayed and then the car reg entered into the system which didn’t fill us with much confidence the car could be left for longer. All in all, not a good experience this time and, unfortunately, we decided not to return in a fortnight for lunch (distinct lack of vegetarian offerings also had some bearing) but to go elsewhere - which is a shame as we’re local and have used this place a lot since it opened - will be thinking twice in future as there are plenty of other places who actually seem to want the business.

Well looked after by Sam and Kate. Would like to see some new things on the breakfast menu - Kedgeree, Omelettes, kippers...
