The menu was limited to mostly small plates at around £10 each with the requirement for 2-3 dishes per person, making it too expensive for pub food. There was only 2 alternatives which we all had. Overall the food was very good but more choice to the small plates would have been better. This would deter us from returning whilst the menu is as it is.

Excellent all round, best Sunday lunch we've eaten in a long time.

Not overly keen on the 'small plates' that they are now doing. This resulted ine being served 2 dishes at once while my husband had none. We would prefer traditional starter followed by main course. I don't think this tapas style really works unless you are sharing dishes

Beautiful food, we did think the veg based plates were a little on the expensive side but we enjoyed what we had.

We don't like the new small plates menu. It's not tapas because the two plates I had could not be shared also a bit pricey if all 4 of us had small plate compared with old set menu which we greatly enjoyed last time we ate at the Dog.
We initially wanted to sit outside and got the outdoor menu but it became quite cold outside so moved inside. We got told we couldn’t have anything off the outdoor menu if we were sat inside but we only wanted the food off that menu so we ended up leaving. The servers were polite and the pub itself was nice but it’s poor management to turn away £60+ worth of custom just because we’d come inside as it was cold. Also, a few ‘typical’ pub food dishes on the menu alongside the bistro style food would be good
