We have been here several times in the past and decided to book for our anniversary on Saturday 21st august, we were not disappointed. The welcome when we arrived was lovely followed by one of the best meals we have had. The service was excellent and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be making another booking soon. Thank you to all the staff for making our visit great.

The best roast I’ve had in ages

I didn't feel entirely Covid safe as there was no ventilation (no windows open) and it was busy and far too warm. We were told very officiously as soon as we sat down that we had to leave after 2 hours. The message could be delivered in a better way - ie if you'd like to stay for drinks afterwards, you can sit outside (if nice enough), in the bar area, etc.

The pie was great and the dripping fat chips good. On the whole disappointed with the new menu choices though,sadly. And dessert wise if you don't like cheese cake well you are out of luck. I would have liked ice-cream like I used to have. Unexpectedly quiet so not much of a buzz .
