The restaurant was much more crowded than we expected but there were plenty of staff. The waitress was pleasant and wearing a mask when she came to the table with the menus but she didn’t take a drinks order and we sat at the table for nearly 10mins. Before she returned . The drinks arrived promptly once ordered, and so did the food, - which was excellent. We were asked if we would like a dessert but then waited 15mins. before the waitress reappeared with the menu we had requested . Had she been busy serving this may have been understandable but unfortunately she, and other servers were having an animated conversation by the bar area and we were unable to attract her attention. Sadly , we decided to ‘call it a day’ so when she eventually appeared with the dessert menu we asked for the bill - which arrived without delay ! We felt very much like an ‘afterthought ‘ which rather spoilt our evening out, as did the amount of customers in close quarters.
