16 of us celebrated a 50th birthday. We preordered which was perfect, the food was delicious, hot and all served together. Couldn’t fault the food or service at all. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately our Christmas dinner was very disappointing. We have been to the restaurant many times and were really looking forward to eating out on Christmas day. The menu did look promising, but the food could have been so much better. At £95 each we did expect something special. As a party of 5, we all had turkey, and were all equally disappointed, so it was not just a matter of individual taste. The smoked bacon overpowered everything on the plate, the roast parsnips were soggy and oozing with oil and the vegetables were also poor. The table where we were situated was close to the bar area, consequently it was impossible to hold a conversation without shouting, perhaps consider some kind of screen between the bar area and restaurant area, this may help to absorb some of the noise. I'm sorry that we will not be able to recommend the Dog to anyone for Christmas meal.

Always excellent on everything. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is always superb. Love going there and also recommended to friends who have now been a few times too. Love it.
