We ate our first Sunday roast at The Dog yesterday. Wow, it was amazing, by far the best Sunday roast we have ever had. I had the pork and my husband had the beef, both were cooked to perfection and the side accompaniments were just as good. We absolutely didn’t need a dessert as we were stuffed but we had one to share anyway; sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and it was absolutely beautiful. I am fully prepared to be gaining lots of weight now that we have discovered this gem!!

Apart from the very loud death metal everything else was perfect. The food was amazing could you just understand that we have come out for a peaceful meal not to listen to horribly loud metal music... Disappointing.

We had a lovely lunch party for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, one or two of us had the lamb and it was very fatty and gristly. However, the other meals were good, the veg was very good and other accompaniments and the desserts were delicious. Thanks again. Sue Oldbury
