Great ambience....attentive and courteous staff and beyond excellent food. We will be back!

This was our 2nd visit to the restaurant within the last 30 days and encountered the same waiting staff on both occasions. On the latter visit, yesterday, we were horrified by the way we were spoken to by one of your front of house. To accompany the warm bread, we were offered a lovely bottle of olive oil, and in addition we requested some balsamic vinegar. Upon bringing the balsamic to the table we were told; “our olive oil is very good and that’s why we don’t also bring vinegar to the table. You’re wasting MY olive oil by mixing it up like that and you can’t taste the flavour.” What an absolutely abhorrent and snooty way to speak to your guests. We were rendered speechless and made to feel like scum who weren’t able to appreciate this allegedly majestic oil. What a farce. If I request ketchup/strawberry jam/tamari or any other condiment of my fancy to add to my olive oil, surely it should be brought the table without question or an education on the etiquette on the consumption of olive oil. Why would I return or recommend a restaurant where my family and I were addressed as low-lifes? Shame. Livia Tabone
