The food was some of the best we’ve had in Michelin Star restaurants in Malta. The Oysters Gillardeau with aguachile was the star! Everything was perfectly seasoned and immensely refreshing. My allergies were catered for seamlessly. Only complaint - that the veal a tad dry. The Sommelier made a lovely wine recommendation, we asked for a red (even with fish) and she delivered; however the delay in being provided the wine menu, her recommendation and then being served the wine brought us to our third plate. Not to be expected. Were the food not so good we would have made very serious complaints. We wish the Sommelier would also have recommended the aperitif. One of the servers listed the sparkling wine choices but had to check, and came back with a shorter list. It was not appreciated that there were no tablecloths, nor that at one point our table was cleaned with a moist cloth. If you’re going for a paired down vibe (Lyle’s style) other aspects in your presentation jarr with this. Also did not appreciate the server placing the same fork used for the appetiser as that to be used for our first plate. It is preferred that the menu shows patrons are expected to select the same type of menu. Having your server verbally say this (we heard similar for the other table sitting upstairs), comes off negative - as though there are restrictions. Your servers also like using the adjective ‘amazing’, your food and wine selection deserve more refined adjectives. We will come back, and we will recommend others pay you a visit, but would hope to experience better elevated service.

I want to start by saying you are fully deserve the star and more ! The service and the food were over our expectations. Amazing taste combinations and a lovely brigade that constantly took really good care of us. I cannot wait to come back! Thank you very much for making our anniversary that much more special.
