Food was excellent, well worth going to The Hayloft. Only comment....the Black Forest Gataux was beautifully presented but far too sweet . Prices good. Will go again, and look forward to it.

Unfortunately we were left waiting a long time before offered drinks, then another long wait to order food, and another long wait for food to arrive, the staff were not rushed off their feet. When the scallops arrived they were cold, the mousakka main was luke warm and the bread was inedible, with a poor excuse of old lettuce with one small tomato, no dressing, felt like a starter it was so meagre, burger wasn’t anything special and the tempura courgettes were not seasoned and tasted like batter. The prices have increased but the quality and portions have gone down. I was also overcharged for the tonic water as the price on the menu and what I was charged was 50p different, but this was pointed out and the waitress just said thank you for pointing that out, no apology or offer to return the over charge. I’m afraid as locals we will not be recommending you or returning

Generally really nice evening. Just few things which would have made a difference. Drinks service was a bit slow, food timing was good as sufficient break between courses. Salad leaves on one dish looked like they had come out of plastic bag from supermarket and not fresh. Waitress did offer to change salad, but we declined as it was only garnish. Just mention these couple of things. Neither spoilt a very nice evening. Food taste and textures were excellent. Service was friendly. We definitely would be back if we were down again in Cornwall.

Staff were welcoming and friendly, but we waited over 20 minutes for someone to come and take a drinks order. The restaurant was noisy with no background music. some softer surfaces would help absorb some of this. The cleaning solution used on the table left it very sticky.
