The Hayloft is a 19th century hay barn that was an intrinsic part of the spice route between Penzance and London. Having been a restaurant for 40 years, the Burns family bought The Hayloft in 2016 and have been renovating the building back to former glory.

Sea Bass and Staff were excellent. Maybe the menu’s could be worked on but that may be a Covid thing. Fantastic none the less

Chicken, pea and leek cassoulet was very bland and Luke warm, the chicken Breast would have been better with crispy skin rather than soggy, however my partner enjoyed the moussaka. Good service, replaced a poor pint of tribute with no hassle.

Welcoming greeter and good service from staff. Disappointing food with a tough steak we felt was not worth the price and a flatbread so overdone it was snappable like a cracker. We did tell the waitress the steak was poor. Cheese board was smashing.

Roast was very good indeed but the vegetarian option was rather meagre, so much so, that the person having this had to fill up on the vegetable that accompanied the roasts. Also ran out of trifles for desert.
