Excellent experience food was fantastic...and service was friendly...my only concern was it could have been warmer in the restaurant..but that didn't detract from the Excellent food. The main meal was fantastic and the puddings are to die for...

The roasts were really nice and good value for money. Great variety of nicely prepared veg. Room was cold and plates not that warm so the food cooled down very quickly. No background music so atmosphere was lacking. Menu choices limited for older children’s palettes. Drinks menus were poorly printed and a bit used/tatty. First drinks were slow to come and we were asked to order our food before we’d even got them. Staff were pleasant and apologetic but not professional, that said I appreciate everyone has to start somewhere. Hot chocolate was cold and undrinkable. These were not charged without any quibble. Sorry Matt, but not a good experience today which is a real shame as your in our doorstep.

Everything was great.. apart from where our table was situated, we were in the middle of the room and I felt very uncomfortable as there was a table directly behind me. It felt intrusive and very “open” Other than that.. perfect

The heating was inadequate, 1 radiator behind the only other table that was occupied meant that we were very cold. Crockery and glassware very 70's style and did not match the contemporary style they were trying to achieve. The lady serving was pleasant. The food was OK prices comparably with eg Barbican Kitchen but not as good a quality, more attention required to the finer details to provide a complete experience. I also appreciate that this is a difficult time for the industry, but to survive you have to stand out for the right reasons. Good luck
