Me and my husband was expecting a restaurant quality evening to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. Firstly, I'd like to say. The front of house staff were great. But unfortunately, our table reservation and request wasn't found. I requested upstairs as I know downstairs can be more carefree. So, I was disappointed to be placed downstairs, which i didn't want to disapprove about. A couples evening was in close proximity of family meals. Children under tables and having to listen to parents telling them to behave. The ambiance, was cold not cosy. The starter was excellent. The main meal of turkey festive roast was poor quality. To be honest the final straw was, when a male couple come in. From which, clearly they had just walked in from the farm. They were welcomed in wearing Welly boots covered in foul smelling manure. Front of house, where sincerely sorry. But a long awaited evening was upsetting for us. 2 stars for the cleanliness of the toilets. 7pm is the start of the night. And the sinks and toilet area was unclean.

The only issue we had was the temperature of the room which allowed the food to go cold quite quickly. Food was excellent. Thank you.
