We live in Devon but visit annually with my mum (who lives in Leicestershire) as she has very happy memories of visiting regularly when my dad was alive. As she doesn’t drive she depends on us to take her. The Sunday roast has become an institution with us over the years and is still a firm favourite, having lost none of its quality (or quantity !). Lovely to say hello again to John and Mrs T.

Superb home cooked tasty Sunday lunch with generous portions. Choice of 4 roasts and vegetable selection excellent. The choice of sweets was wide and the sticky toffee pudding was particularly delicious

With all the doors wide open it was a little cold to sit and eat inside even on a lovely sunny day in March. But with covid compliance etc I’m guessing the doors were open for added ventilation purposes? I’d rather be and feel ‘safe’ and it wasn’t a deal-breaker. My fault for not bringing an extra cardigan! Great food, service and gentle attentiveness as always. So this is definitely not a complaint.
