The sushi was excellent but the teriyaki salmon less so. it was also a shame that the hot food came a long time before the sushi. It was disappointing to walk into the very messy downstairs of the restaurant - upstairs was much better! Our waitress was lovely

A chaotic and disorganised arrival .. a lot of young ladies trying their best but no management to oversee and direct them.. so you need some management to help the staff deliver a more relaxed more organised service they needed direction and support but were trying their best. Particularly during times of a pandemic .

We booked a table for lunch on the eat in to help out scheme . Wow what a great lunch it was X the food was amazing and the staff were super efficient and helpful

I had to wait for 15 minutes minimum even when I’ve booked. The staff tend to mix up orders, by missing a dish etc. Tonight was even worst. Initially we ordered a blue fin tuna and a tuna roll, however the wrong dish turned up. We enquired what it was before eating it, however the staff told us it’s correct. After digging in, the actual blue fin tuna turned up and so we enquired again, and they admitted they have done a mix up and we were told we can continue eating the wrong dish as it will end up in the bin anyway. However, when the bill came we noted that they have charged us for a tuna roll that never turned up, so we requested if that could be taken off the bill. But the staff came to our table and basically forced us to pay for the unwanted dish. Her rationale was: 1) We have eaten it 2) The staff who served us was new 3) It basically replaces the roll that didn’t turn up 4) They are a business so they will have to charge us. After continuously repeating her forceful rationale, she then increased the price of the new bill to factor in the dish that came wrongly. I have been made embarrassed and didn’t want to argue again and paid/ left ASAP. I completely understand the situation if we were made aware previously, however we were not given a choice at the time when we enquired initially. I actually felt embarrassed how the staff handled it. I feel uncomfortable how she was so forceful and the fact we have to pay for their incompetency for mixing up the order and not making it clear the options at the time of mix up. I honestly love the food here and would fully support local business. It’s not a big deal paying for extra things if they handled it correctly. However after this situation I feel uncomfortable to go again.
Another fantastic meal! The sushi is beautifully presented, fresh and very delicious. Service is always friendly and efficient.
