Both my partner and I have been coming to Kazoku from the moment it was opened. We also picked and collect and we enjoyed it every time. The ambience after returning from lockdown is not the same, as now it doesn't feel as private and romantic as it used to be (the tables are now in a longer line, rather than separated and you now feel part of the next tables conversation). Loved the food this time too, however, we were disappointed that there is no ramen at all (Kazoku used to have the best ramen in the area from our point of view), and the options of sushi are quite limited and expensive (no Sevenoaks rolls anymore, not as many options as for delivery). The quality of the food and taste was still good, but the way the food was plated isn't always practical. For ex: the Thai green curry can be quite awkward to eat with rice from a bowl that is already full. The menu didn't include puddings and the layout is not as easy to reed as the previous one. Staff and service were excelent and very welcoming,and the food was very quick to arrive. We will still return, but to be sincere, it didn't feel quite the same as before lockdown. We were very impressed with the quality of the food for delivery and we expected the same quality (including ambience related) when eating in as in the past. It would be a shame to only choose kazoku delivery in the future instead of eating in.
