I had booked a table for 2 @ 1pm arrived on time to be told that they had no booking for me - I assured him that I had booked at least a week ago his constantly said there was no booking & he was fully booked nothing he could do. I was very cross his attitude was not good I was bringing some one new to you having told them how lovely symonsbury was I have been coming for several years and my reception was apaling! I insisted to see the manager told where her office was I said they could come to see me....Wendy arrived and was positively charming and promptly arranged a table for us, I thought all would be ok but no the waiter seemed to be doing his best to ignore us. After delay in taking our order the food arrived.... sadly the chicken roll was ok but the Chiba tasted roll was so hard it was unbeatable....."at no time were we asked if everything was ok! I had the distinct impression from the waiters attitude that they would not be until we left. I as so disappointed and can only hope that should there be a next time it will be like I had always known it to be Valerie Sparks [email protected]
