Fish dish absolutely delicious. Lemon and poppy seed cake terrible, regret having. Lovely staff, a bit cold and drafty but this is our future no doubt. Many thanks

We always stop when we’re passing through (not often enough) and the food & service never fail to impress. It’s our little treat on the way to the West Country and long may it remain so. Well done all of you.

Some carbohydrate ( flat bread/ french bread/ rice/ pasta would have complemented the fish of the day as well as peas and leaves. Not much to ask in order to make an otherwise, extremely tasty and beautifully presented meal, more filling and better value. A little steep for the ration!

Two visits in the last week. It is very well organised in respect of Covid rules with well spaced tables. Sensibly a modest menu of good food and snacks. Both visits were excellent. Thankyou

It took ages to order and then even longer to pay! But the food was delicious.

Hi, we visited you for the first time on Saturday. I booked online and did see the tick box for food allergies but didn't use it, believing that my intollerance to black pepper wouldn't be much of an issue, as has been my experience in other places. However, when checking with the waitress, it seemed absolutely everything on your 'mains' menu was prepped with pepper, even the vegetables. I just don't understand the need to use this ingredient in your cooking when it can so easily be added at the table by choice, particularly vegetables! Whilst I was offered a delicious omelette alternative, I couldn't even have onions in it because they were coated in pepper too. Come on chef, your veg at the very least should be of sufficient quality and flavour to stand up on its own merit without having to add pepper. Salt I get. Give people the freedom to choose for themselves and open up your menu to more people like me, of whom we are many. It's a highly indigestible ingredient, sometimes taking years to breakdown in the gut and can be an irritant to many skin based conditions. We would love to come back again and I will be sure to tick the allergy box next time, but in the meantime I hope you will consider my comments as a positive and constructive suggestion to help broaden you menu and choices for people like me. Thank you

Enjoyed our visit - the best meal out during our week in Dorset.
