Very enjoyable, food good service okay (staff run off their feet). Table surface sticky - needed proper clean, not wipeover.

Some confusion with the menu which we found more restricted than in the past. Pleased that we were compensated with a free pudding having found a plastic string in one of the salads. We will be back!

Food not good. Oily breakfast, bread not good. Toast was dry ends of a loaf. Over priced. Sadly not a patch on how it used to be a couple of years ago.

Such a beautiful setting let down by the service and food. After waiting over 30 minutes for our food the table who ordered a while after us were served. We were just about to give up and leave when ours arrived. Toast, which arrived cold, and jam came with no butter, so we had to go in and find someone to ask. It arrived so hard my husband was unable to spread it. The menu says sourdough so expected some lovely hand cut bread but sadly just a couple of small slices of sliced bread. The pancakes were also cold so had to go in and ask for them to be changed too. This took another 10 minutes and when they finally arrived they were lukewarm, with just a few slices of banana, so very expensive at £9.50 considering the quality and quantity. I’m sure we will visit Symondsbury again but definitely not the café.

Good food and range of drinks. We did notice an increase in price/slight reduction is "plate size" compered to pre-pandemic visits. But we will definately continue to visit.
