There was far too much noise with the music blaring and all the other extraneous racket but everything else was very good

Really lovely place for a breakfast on the terrace. Picked up some tasty bbq bits at the farm shop too

This is our second visit and we intend to make many more! The breakfast is delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful. To be able to eat in the Courtyard is a bonus too. Would definitely recommend and especially if you are planning a walk up Colmers Hill and the surrounding area.

Beautiful setting and plenty of (friendly) staff but just not organised enough! Waited too long between courses and staff walking past tables with dirty plates to clear.

Lovely breakfast but the mushrooms had some sort of herb on which was too garlicky for breakfast.

We have been to the Kitchen several times but this latest meal was very disappointing. We waited for over an hour before being served with our food. My wife's haddock pate was changed to mackerel and was very peppery. The beetroot was hard and not fully cooked with a huge amount of lettuce and sourdough bread enough for at least two people. The pickled onions were perfect. Our guests who live locally and were celebrating a special wedding anniversary were also disappointed. We are not used to complaining so left without dessert and coffee. We had thought about staying for a short break later on but this has seriously put us off this and returning for future meals.

Really enjoyed our visit for breakfast, which was very yummy Ended up staying for afternoon tea after spending an enjoyable day around the estate.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly but obviously very busy. It was disappointing to receive two slices of plain white sliced bread (a la Mother's Pride) with my pate instead of sourdough as promised on the menu and without being warned by the waiter. Also the flatbreads served with my wife's lunch were cold when surely they should have been warm? And we gave up waiting for our two flat white coffees after twenty minutes! We will come back and hope for better next time.
