I was served baked butter beans as part of the Meal. These should have been described on menu as spicy as they contained alot of paprika. I was refunded but felt let down and had to wait too long for replacement. Allergies should be addressed urgently.

We could not fault a thing....we enjoyed a lovely lunch, all four of us, so it doesn't seem to matter what your choice is! The service was also simply excellent - attentive, but not intrusive. A perfect experience at Symondsbury Kitchen on a beautiful day! AlanPS

So friendly and welcoming. I booked online and checked the booking by telephone a few days before. The staff were well informed and even checked on the needs of the party. On arrival staff were quick to locate a guest with allergies and advised on the menu. The guest was really impressed and felt supported and at ease. The food was delicious and great to know that it was locally sourced and seasonal. Would highly recommend this kitchen.

This is a lovely place and has improved greatly. The food is good, the music quiet and in the background and there are no dogs which is total bliss as they have become all pervasive everywhere else...cafe's and restaurants are not environments for animals unless they are for service. The young people who serve are professional and caring. All together a very good experience and I look forward to Spring when we can sit outside in the lovely garden.

Disappointed today. We have been coming here for a long while and although there are a couple of daily specials, the main menu never changes. We ordered a chi chicken sandwich which was very greasy and for the price was insubstantial.

On arrival we queued to get in and were left a long time before anybody interacted with us despite having a table booked. There were lots of staff but nobody seemed interested in taking control of the flow of people at the door. We dined at 2pm and found that a number of things on the menu had sold out, that made it tricky choosing something for our son, particularly as the toasties are pre-made so you can’t omit chilli for example. Main courses were good. Halloumi fries were a small portion for the price so didn’t feel like good value. We were offered the dessert menu but when we tried to order we’re told the kitchen was closed, this was after we had stopped a waitress to get her attention. They decided as it was just dessert they could make it for us. We had treacle tart which was tasty but the amount of custard was minuscule! Again didn’t feel like great value. We paid at the till. We had a nice time and would probably go back but not in a hurry. The surroundings were lovely and food was good but service poor and felt overpriced for some menu items.
