Waited for ten mins to be seated. Wasn't told before we arrived, or whilst being seated, that half the dishes were unavailable as there was no salad in the kitchen. Waiter forgot one of our chips and when asked for ketchup and said "yep, be right back", never saw him again. Very poor, really unimpressed. Had been looking forward to this so much (as it had been recommended) and booked days in advance. It was our first time. Yes, one of our chips portions wasn't charged for as the salad dishes (which we had seen on the menu and were looking forward to) were unavailable, but overall was well below expectations. Waited so long for the bill just went inside to pay. Staff didn't seem to notice or care we had not really had a great experience. Paul Counihan

Thanks for this opportunity. We had looked fwd to a return to the Symondsbury Kitchen, as we are locals and visit regularly and normally have a good experience. I had booked. We had two friends with us who had not visited before, and it wasn't sadly the best experience yesterday, Thurs. We waited 45 mins plus for the food after ordering. Our toasted sandwiches were small, half the size of normal. I did mention this when paying to feedback to the kitchen. When my friends paid for their food in cash, I was disappointed that the change £1.50p was automatically put in the tips, she hadn't said to do that, at that point. My friend asked for her change, and he took it out of the tips and returned it. We think some training might be needed if there is new staff. All the best, Pam Simpson party of 4.

Smiling hard working staff but need more of them and better organisation. One person dedicated to preparing drinks, another clearing and cleaning then leave 3 staff to take and deliver orders and ensure tables are not left waiting to be served, cleared etc. A Pork burger arrived at the table cool and undercooked. Kitchen need yo check temperature of meat dishes before plating up to serve.

We were served our food before our drinks, they said they were short staffed and that their boss thinks 3 people serving is enough. There were many tables outside full and many people waiting to be served ! More staff please.

Delicious food, friendly service and relaxing setting. Heartily recommend.
We had a great lunch, all the produce used was excellent quality, the food was really well presented and tasted wonderful. All the staff we met were friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
