Fantastic food and service very good despite being busy maybe could have done with one more member of staff but the level of service provided by the staff who were working was excellent.

Our fish of the day, hake, was excellent. However please understand that "real cream" means dairy cream. I asked whether the Victoria Sponge had real cream and was told it had. It had not! Only a very sugary filling. My lovely waiter was very apologetic but said the kitchen had told him it was real cream. Also this venue in our experience runs out of cakes by lunch.

Brilliant food and atmosphere. Great first day back. The only thing that wasn’t quite right was the kids meal - too much garlic. Probably need to be more basic for kids.

We really enjoy our visits, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the provenance, preparation and presentation of the food is of the highest standard.
