Great service and excellent food, good value for quality of food (mains as well as cakes!).

It was really good . . . friendly staff, great atmosphere (esp Paul Simon !) and delicious food. The chilli jam which was missed arrived quickly, once I’d asked, with apologies. Great!

Had pre-booked a table but waited more than 15 minutes to be served (weren’t told the soup choice). The gnocchi was dry and crunchy and the small portion seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp. Mentioned this to our server who handled my complaint brilliantly and seemed genuinely concerned by my feedback. Was offered a free drink which was declined and the bill was paid in full. Disappointing meal but good to know that negative feedback is dealt with promptly and politely. The server should be complimented for the way in which my complaint was handled.

We thoroughly enjoyed our festive lunch with family at Symondsbury Kitchen. The portion sizes were a little small but apart from that all very positive.

The waitress was very helpful when told of our guest’s food allergies.

Coffee delicious but the almond croissant I had was definitely past it’s best and stale. Also it had a faint taste of savoury food as if it had been sitting in a kitchen where other foods being cooked. I didn’t ask my companion about hers as didn’t want to spoil our get together.
We had full English breakfast I would of preferred back bacon to streaky bacon for the price But very nice and would come back
