I’ve only given eight for ambience as it was a ver hot day and, perhaps consequently, very quiet.

There was a slight delay in our order being processed. We must have been apologised six times. Very nice staff.

Given many people choose veggie from an eco point of view and many people come to the symondsbury estate as a place of outstanding beauty I was really surprised not to see more veggie options. I and my son had the choice of salad or veggie chilli. Both were very good but why not promote more and help us all look after our planet better. So many delicious options to cook. Check out Mildred's cookbook :) We had a lovely time thank you. Super staff and enjoyed the food and reasonable pricing. Loved the shop and will come back to buy Christmas presents when it's time.

My friend and I ordered sour dough toasties. What arrived was cheap sliced bread made into a toasted sandwich. The young waitress were friendly and polite. The garden area was filled with dogs. I really object to eating my lunch less than 2metres from dogs picking their bottoms. Revolting. I visited the ladies at about 12.30 and the hand towel bin was already overflowing. I asked for the service charge to be removed from my bill as I was furious to have been ripped off in this way. It really wasn't meant to reflect my view of the service, although the staff were absolutely hatchet faced when I made that request. I have been here many, many times, but will be reluctant to visit again. I can almost hear you saying good riddance, but you need to know how your standards have slipped.
