Symondsbury Kitchen cancelled my reservation as the restaurant had to close because staff had tested Covid positive.

We couldn’t visit your establishment as it was closed. I had booked a table for 1.15pm why didn’t you let me know via email? We tried to book other places but all were closed. In the end we purchased sandwiches from Waitrose for us and our guests. Not what we envisaged as they had come down from Bristol to be with us for our meal together. If only you had let me know I would have had time to find somewhere else for lunch.

first time we've been back in over 18 months! Thanks to lockdown etc., pleased to say that it was a good experience, good food and service:)

We were initially ignored by a member of staff when we arrived and waited at the door. When she saw us she could have at least smiled and said, 'I'll be with you in a minute". That would have been good customer service. The food was a lovely, colourful plateful. The location is gorgeous and such lovely decor.
