Server was great, very attentive. Great server. Food was nice but dessert was the best. Would return again. Wish they had the cambert cheese on the starter list like they had in the past would have loved to try that again.

Great lunch - all four of us loved our meals. Service was efficient, friendly and polite. Great menu and lovely food.

Food was ok. Poor presentation. Service was poor. Lots of staff not really knowing what was going on, touching drinks to put them on the table (shouldn't do this during COVID) and having to ask the manager how to do basic things. Ambience - there wasn't one. The room behind the bar has no character or ambience. Lighting was far too bright and white. Wood paneling was cold and characterless. Temperature was also cold here - my party were all cold and the table next to us were too. Cleanliness - There was a bunch of food on the carpet under our table when we arrived. Table top had been cleaned so to miss all of that food (I'm talking about a full bowl of peas) was either negligence or pure laziness. We were moved to the table next to it which was in the same state! Also - we were told to use the QR code to order. It took us to a landing page for one pub only so we bought drinks. Turns out this was another pub and it wasn't working for this pub. 1. Why tell us to use it if it isn't working? 2. Why have your QR code take us to a landing page for all pubs in the group and not the pub we are at!? Overall, I begrudged paying for any of the food or drinks and we left ASAP. This is coming from someone used to paying a lot in Southampton pubs. I don't think you can justify the prices if it is all this poor. Wont be coming back and will try and tank your Trip Advisor rating because it is your good rating on there that got us through the door in the first place.
