Our local - the staff are friendly, helpful and give good service. The ambience is smart but very comfortable. The choice of food is dominated by meat/fish and chips. The sides only include one vegetable - Asian style broccoli, there are no other veg on offer unless they happen to form part of a dish, and no side salads. The only potatoes on offer are chunky or thin chips - some dishes do come with roasted new potatoes. The non-battered fish choice has been sea bass and sole - both of which were cooked in too much oil and the sole overcooked. I found the slow cooked ribs a little overcooked and dry. Apart from these criticisms, we enjoy going to The White Hart for ambience, service and convenience and have enjoyed much of the food - just not the aspects mentioned above.
