Food was very salty and chicken burger was overcooked

My wife and i had an amazing meal here a few months ago. It was that good we brought our friends back to try .The crispy chilli beef tasted and stunk of fish and was spat out on the table .Don't know if had been cooked in the same fryer as fish but obviously that's a no no when cooking. The chicken tacos were described on the menu as shredded chicken and when it turned up it was chunks of brown chicken thigh drowning in sauce. Staff were great and apologetic and did say they had a new chef but that shouldn't be a excuse . the owners we in the restaurant but decided to ignored the problem and didn't want to come over to our table .Poor management. Could of be handled a lot better than it was

The chilli beef, which is a favourite of ours and we order every time was nowhere near as nice as usual. We both had upset stomachs the day after our visit, which we presume was from something eaten there, we only has small plates and the same 1 bottle of wine to share as we usually get so it wasn't alcohol related over indulgence.

Much confusion over which table we were supposed to sit at which was just unnecessary. It then took about 30 mins to get a drink and longer for the food. Then had two out three drinks delivered and had to wait another 5 mins for the final one. Service was very poor, we were ignored for quite a while. Had to go the bar twice to chase up food and drink. Why tell us you are going to bring it over if we have to wait another 20 mins. Food wasn't bad when it arrived, but they forgot the nibbles - humous and olives - and just delivered the main course. Basic stuff really. Very disappointing.

I thought the food was generous for small plates, it didn't feel very clean around the table and on the chairs because when the table was wiped when we arrived all the food debris was flicked onto the seats and floor and potentially small children had been sitting there before we arrived. I wouldn't rush back, the guy that worked there was good but it didn't feel like enough care was taken to prepare the table and brush up the floor, wipe the chairs before the next customers.

Lovely food as always, but not as nice as last time we came. The chips are £6.50 and came in a tiny bowl- should be £4 at most!! Please reduce the cost or bring them in a large bowl like you used to. Also chicken strips seem smaller

Friendly and efficient service. Food good. Good atmosphere.
Have frequented The Wro for many years and visited several times recently to see a deterioration in food quality and increase in price. Very sad to see.
